From stronger sanitation infrastructure and a growing tree nursery to life-saving medical supplies reaching hospitals and cleaner coastlines, each story in this edition reflects our shared commitment to improving the well-being of families and protecting the ecosystems of southern Honduras. Together, these milestones demonstrate how collaboration continues to create lasting impact where it is needed most.




41 Families in Llano Grande Will Benefit from Improved Sanitation


We have begun the construction of 41 household sanitation units in the community of Llano Grande, El Triunfo, a project that will provide 41 families with access to safer and improved sanitation facilities.



This initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Spanish Rotarians Humanitarian Foundation (FHRE) and the City Council of Santiago de Compostela, with the goal of expanding access to essential sanitation services through safe, dignified, and appropriate household infrastructure.


Beyond improving health and hygiene conditions, the project will provide safer and more private spaces for women, girls, and children, enhancing the quality of life of beneficiary families while helping prevent disease within the community.

Donation Strengthens Production at the Escudo Verde Nursery



The Herco Hardware Employees Association (ASEFH) donated two 16-liter backpack sprayers to support the operations of the Escudo Verde Nursery, managed by FUNDESUR.



This new equipment will improve the efficiency of foliar fertilizer applications and plant protection treatments, promoting healthier plant growth from the earliest stages while strengthening the nursery's overall management.


By incorporating these tools, FUNDESUR will enhance the production of native forest species and reinforce its environmental restoration efforts across southern Honduras.

Strengthening Diagnostic Capacity at the Southern General Hospital



As part of our commitment to strengthening Honduras' public healthcare system, we donated essential medical supplies to the Southern General Hospital.



The donation includes clinical laboratory materials used for blood tests and other diagnostic procedures, helping healthcare professionals provide timely, accurate, and safe medical care.

 

Through this donation, we are helping strengthen the hospital's diagnostic capacity, enabling it to better respond to patients' needs and improve the quality of care provided to thousands of people across southern Honduras.

We Welcome Our Thirteenth Medical Aid Container from MAP International


We are proud to receive the thirteenth container of medicines donated by MAP International, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to expanding access to healthcare for the people who need it most.




The medicines and medical supplies will be distributed to health centers, hospitals, and partner institutions serving vulnerable communities across Honduras, helping strengthen access to essential treatments and healthcare services.


This latest donation is part of our long-standing partnership with MAP International, through which we continue working together to expand the availability of essential medicines and support the strengthening of Honduras' healthcare system.

Beach Cleanup at El Venado Promotes Environmental Conservation


In celebration of Earth Day, we joined forces with BAC Credomatic to carry out a beach cleanup at El Venado Beachin Marcovia, Choluteca.



Together with our volunteers and the BAC team, we collected 48 bags of waste, carefully sorting the materials to support their proper disposal and responsible waste management.


This initiative is part of our ongoing environmental education and conservation efforts, through which we work to protect Honduras' coastal ecosystems while encouraging greater awareness of the importance of responsible waste management.
