In this edition, we share four initiatives that reflect our commitment to improving people's well-being and advancing sustainable development in southern Honduras: the delivery of the first shipment of medicines through our national healthcare partnership, the strengthening of our collaboration with BAC Credomatic, a new edition of Ecofest, and a donation of essential medical supplies to the Southern General Hospital.
Each of these initiatives is the result of working hand in hand with partners who, like us, believe that lasting development is achieved by creating opportunities for communities.

Expanding Access to Essential Medicines for the Communities That Need Them Most
As part of the partnership we have established with the Government of Honduras, MAP International, and Friends of FUNDESUR, we delivered the first shipment of medicines under this initiative, marking the beginning of a long-term effort to expand access to essential treatments for thousands of Honduran families.

Through this initial distribution, we are supporting health facilities in the municipalities of Namasigüe, El Triunfo, Choluteca, Marcovia, San Lorenzo, Nacaome, and other communities where timely access to medicines has long been a challenge.
By delivering these medicines, we are strengthening the capacity of local health services to provide timely care for children, older adults, and people living with chronic illnesses, ensuring that essential treatments are available closer to the communities they serve.
This first shipment marks the beginning of a long-term strategic partnership designed to improve Honduras' healthcare system and expand access to essential medicines and medical supplies. Together, we aim to benefit nearly one million people in the years ahead.
Delivery Highlights
Partners: Government of Honduras, MAP International, and Friends of FUNDESUR
Value of the First Shipment: More than HNL 25.3 million
Coverage: 17 health facilities
Municipalities: Namasigüe, El Triunfo, Choluteca, Marcovia, San Lorenzo, Nacaome, among others
Partnership Goal: To benefit nearly one million people

Reaffirming Our Partnership with BAC Credomatic to Create Lasting Impact
We participated alongside BAC Credomatic in the Triple Value Strategy event, held as part of the celebration of the organization's 50th anniversary. The event brought together organizations committed to advancing Honduras' economic, social, and environmental development.
During the event, we had the opportunity to be part of the Yo Me Uno program booth, where we shared our work with hundreds of attendees and highlighted the impact FUNDESUR's initiatives are making in communities across southern Honduras.

The support generated through this initiative helps us continue expanding access to healthcare, education, clean water, sanitation, and opportunities for thousands of Honduran families.

Ecofest Brings the Community Together to Promote Environmental Education and Conservation
Together with Unimall Choluteca, we launched a new edition of Ecofest, an event designed to promote environmental awareness and encourage community participation in the conservation of our natural resources.
During the first day of the event, we welcomed dozens of families who supported this initiative through donations, environmental education activities, and the purchase of plants grown in our nursery. Their participation helps us continue developing environmental projects that protect and restore the ecosystems of southern Honduras.

Through initiatives like Ecofest, we continue promoting environmental education while encouraging communities to take an active role in protecting the environment and creating lasting benefits for both people and nature.

We Donated Essential Medical Supplies to Strengthen Critical Care
As part of our commitment to strengthening Honduras' healthcare system, we donated 150 arterial blood gas test cardsto the Southern General Hospital.

These supplies are essential for the care of critically ill patients, enabling healthcare professionals to quickly and accurately assess respiratory function, oxygenation, and acid-base balance—critical information for making timely clinical decisions.
Through this donation, we are strengthening the diagnostic capacity of the leading hospital in southern Honduras, supporting healthcare professionals in their daily work and improving the quality of care provided to thousands of patients who rely on its services.
We remain committed to strengthening healthcare facilities and expanding access to quality medical care for the communities we serve.
Every milestone we share in this newsletter is made possible by the commitment of our partners, donors, volunteers, and the communities we serve. Their trust inspires us to continue expanding access to healthcare, strengthening education, protecting the environment, and creating opportunities that improve the quality of life for thousands of families.
Thank you for standing with us and for being part of this shared commitment to building a healthier, more sustainable, and more prosperous future for Honduras.
