United for Those Who Need It Most

FUNDESUR extends its heartfelt gratitude to Grupo Jaremar, CEPUDO, and Food For The Poor for their valuable support through the donation of a new container filled with essential supplies.

This contribution arrives at a crucial moment, allowing FUNDESUR to continue providing relief, hope, and assistanceto thousands of vulnerable families in southern Honduras. The donated materials will strengthen ongoing efforts in health, education, and community development across the region.

This collaboration demonstrates that when organizations join forces with empathy and purpose, realities can be transformed. Every donation, every act of solidarity, represents one more step toward a more just, healthy, and hopeful southern Honduras.

Preparing for the 2025 Mangrove Planting Season

FUNDESUR is preparing to launch its 2025 Mangrove Planting Season, one of the organization’s most emblematic initiatives for coastal conservation.

At present, the mangrove nurseries are thriving, with thousands of seedlings ready to be transplanted to the field in the coming weeks. This marks the beginning of a collective effort that brings together communities, volunteers, and partners committed to protecting the natural environment.

To plant mangroves is to plant life. These trees play a crucial role in preserving biodiversity, protecting shorelines from waves, capturing carbon, and providing shelter for countless marine and coastal species.

Soon, FUNDESUR and its partners will unite once again in this mission to restore the ecosystems of the Gulf of Fonseca and strengthen the connection between people and nature.

Celebrating the Life That Returns to the Sea

After several weeks of patrolling, incubation, and protection, FUNDESUR and CVC-GOLF successfully completed the third stage of the olive ridley sea turtle conservation program: the release of hatchlings into the sea.

This year, dedicated work from both organizations and local communities made it possible to surpass the goal of 40,000 collected eggs, reaching over 46,000 in total. Every stage—from nighttime patrols to the careful incubation process—has played a vital role in protecting a species that represents the balance of marine ecosystems.

The release of thousands of baby turtles returning to the ocean is more than an environmental achievement; it is a reminder that protecting wildlife is also protecting our shared future.

We celebrate the life returning to the sea

After several weeks of patrols, incubation, and protection, FUNDESUR and CVC-GOLF successfully completed the third stage of the olive ridley turtle conservation program: the release of hatchlings back to the ocean.

This year, the team’s constant and dedicated work made it possible to surpass the goal of 40,000 collected eggs, reaching more than 46,000, thanks to the joint efforts of coastal communities and conservation teams. Every stage — from nighttime patrols to care within the hatcheries — has been essential to protect a species that symbolizes the balance of marine ecosystems.

The release of thousands of tiny turtles into the ocean represents much more than an environmental achievement: it is a reminder that protecting wildlife is also protecting our future.
